Support pathway
Headache and Migraine Support
Whole-person supportive care for headache patterns, tension, triggers, and recovery routines.

Clinically responsible support
How InnerVital™ approaches this pathway
Headache and migraine patterns can affect work, school, family life, sleep, concentration, and emotional resilience. Many people also notice relationships among neck and shoulder tension, stress load, hydration, meals, screen time, hormones, sleep disruption, and environmental triggers.
InnerVital’s approach is to help patients organize those patterns into a safe, practical support plan. Care may include acupuncture, TCM-informed pattern review, manual therapy for neck and shoulder tension, Medical Qigong or breath-based self-regulation, nutrition and hydration education, and referral awareness when symptoms require urgent or neurologic evaluation.
Common goals we may support
- Headache and migraine-adjacent comfort support
- Neck, jaw, shoulder, and tension-pattern awareness
- Sleep, stress, hydration, meal timing, and trigger routines
- Recovery planning after episodes and support between flares
- Care coordination with primary care, neurology, dentistry, or emergency care when needed

Care plans vary by location, staffing, provider license, scope of practice, safety screening, and clinical appropriateness. Relevant services may include:
- Acupuncture
- Tuina / Shiatsu Manual Therapy

Helpful next steps
What patients may experience
- A careful history of headache pattern, frequency, triggers, associated symptoms, red flags, and existing medical plan
- A supportive care plan that may combine acupuncture, bodywork, lifestyle education, and self-regulation practices
- Clear guidance that new, severe, unusual, or neurologically concerning symptoms need medical evaluation
Care coordination and safety
InnerVital™ uses a support-first model. We encourage patients to keep appropriate medical, behavioral health, rehabilitation, specialty, pediatric, oncology, palliative, or primary-care clinicians involved whenever the concern requires diagnosis, monitoring, medication decisions, or urgent evaluation.
Evidence-aware context
Mainstream medical references list headaches, including tension headaches and migraines, among common areas where acupuncture is used for symptom relief. InnerVital presents this as adjunctive supportive care and not as a replacement for headache diagnosis or neurologic management.
When to seek urgent or conventional medical care
Do not use this website or supportive care pathway as a substitute for urgent medical evaluation. Seek appropriate medical, emergency, behavioral health, or specialist care for concerns such as sudden worst headache, new neurologic symptoms, confusion, fainting, fever with stiff neck, head injury, new headache after age 50, headache during pregnancy, or symptoms that feel dangerous or unusual.
Questions patients often ask
Frequently asked questions
Can InnerVital help me understand headache triggers?
InnerVital can help patients map lifestyle, stress, sleep, tension, hydration, and routine factors that may relate to headache patterns, while encouraging medical evaluation when symptoms require it.
Is this a substitute for migraine medication?
No. Medication decisions should be made with your prescribing clinician. InnerVital can provide supportive care alongside an existing migraine or headache plan.
Can neck and shoulder tension be part of the plan?
Yes. When appropriate, manual therapy, posture awareness, acupuncture, and self-care routines can be considered as part of a tension and comfort support strategy.
